have any questions?
Don't worry, we've got the answers you need.
Can I book online?
The answer is no. We believe it's important for you and your dog to get to know us, and for us to get to know you and your pet. Let's have a chat so we can learn about your dog's requirements. It's essential that you feel comfortable and confident knowing that your pet’s wellbeing is our top priority. After that, we can schedule a grooming appointment for your dog.
How long does the grooming session take?
The grooming time for your dog depends on the service you have booked and how comfortable your dog is with grooming. Dogs that have less experience with grooming or do not enjoy being groomed may take a longer time. We always prioritise your dog's comfort and take as much time as necessary to make them happy. During the consultation, we will provide you with an estimated finish time. If your dog requires additional time, we will inform you accordingly.
How often should I get my dog groomed?
Dogs have varying grooming needs depending on their coat type and desired style. To keep your dog's skin and coat healthy, we suggest grooming every 4-12 weeks. During the pre-groom consultation, we can discuss and determine the best grooming schedule for your dog.
When should my puppy get its first groom?
There are many myths about when a puppy should get their first groom, but the answer is simple: You should schedule an appointment for your puppy's initial grooming session once they have received all their vaccinations. It is important for your dog to get comfortable with the grooming process because early, positive grooming experiences make it less stressful for them as they get older.
To help your puppy get accustomed to grooming, you can start by regularly brushing or combing their fur and getting them used to being touched on their paws, ears, tail, and face. Remember to make it a fun and positive experience for them!
Can I leave my dog with you all day?
Boop is not a doggy daycare service. We only offer one-on-one grooming, which means that there will be only one dog or family at a time. Once your dog's grooming has been completed, you'll need to pick up your dog.
Will my dog be crated?
If you bring a single dog for grooming, your dog may need to be crated only in two situations. The first is if you arrive early for your appointment and our Lead Groomer is still grooming the previous client's dog. The second is if you are running late to pick up your dog, and our next client has already arrived. However, if you come to get multiple dogs groomed on the same day and want to drop them off together, the dogs will be crated when they are not being groomed. This is done to ensure their safety.
Will my dog be muzzled?
We will only ever put a muzzle on your dog if it shows signs of aggression e.g. biting. Using a muzzle will not only keep us safe but will also keep your dog safe. The muzzle will be properly fitted to your dog. Muzzles do not harm dogs if properly fitted.
